Jose Alfonso O. Altamira

Alfonso received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 2022 where he was awarded the Carmelo V. Sison Prize for Best Paper in Torts and Damages for his writing on environmental tort law. As a student, he received training as a legal intern of the Energy Collaboratory of the Manila Observatory. He also worked as a Law Student Practitioner under the UP Office of Legal Aid, and the UP CLEP Environmental Litigation Clinic.

Alfonso now works alongside Partners and senior lawyers by assisting clients and conducting research in various fields including arbitration & alternative dispute resolution, litigation, and labor & employment.
