HIGHLIGHTS: MVGS Internship Program 2025

From June 23 to August 8, we had the pleasure of hosting a group of bright and driven students for this year’s MVGS Internship Program, focusing on legal training and immersive exposure to the profession.

We were proud to welcome Mirella Victoria H. Siquijor, Isabel Atencia, and Kristine Kyla E. Castro from the University of the Philippines (J.D.); Whaeburr Go and Kiana Tarayne Dizon from the Ateneo Law School (J.D.); Jimeina Einzel P. Papera from De La Salle University School of Law (J.D.); Lance Reily S. Sy from the Ateneo de Manila University (Legal Management); Angeli S. Alejo from De La Salle Araneta University (Accountancy); and Lydia Lau from Singapore Management University (Bachelor of Laws). Each of them brought their unique perspectives, academic rigor, and passion for the law into the program.
Over the course of several enriching weeks, our interns gained first-hand exposure to the practice of law through meaningful, hands-on experiences. They worked alongside our lawyers on ongoing matters, conducted legal research, prepared drafts and documentation, and actively participated in client meetings. They also visited courts and government offices, giving them a practical view of how the legal system operates. Beyond legal work, they joined firm events and social gatherings, allowing them to engage with the team and experience the collaborative culture we value at MVGS.
Worthy to note in this year’s roster of apprentices is Lydia Lau, a Singaporean law student from SMU, who joined us as part of the Drew Network Asia Internship Program. Her participation highlights the growing regional collaboration among leading firms in Southeast Asia, and we are proud to contribute to shaping cross-border legal talent through this partnership.

Thank you all for being part of the team!
